Before Debbie and her husband Steve purchased the building in 1999, it had its roots as a beloved American Legion Post, a gathering place where Franklin locals came together for community, camaraderie, and a classic Wisconsin fish fry. Longtime residents still recall the cozy atmosphere, the old-fashioned décor, and the unmistakable charm that made it feel like home.
Over the years, Debbie and Steve transformed the space into what became known as The Hideaway Pub & Eatery, a warm, welcoming restaurant filled with light, laughter, and local flavor. With hardwood floors, spacious windows, and beautiful blond oak walls, the building evolved into more than just a restaurant, it became a landmark of connection for the Franklin community.
Today, that story continues under new ownership, with Vanessa Jimenez, a passionate entrepreneur who fell in love with the heart and history behind The Hideaway. Known for her dedication to community, hospitality, and excellence, Vanessa’s mission is to honor the legacy that Debbie built while bringing a fresh energy and modern touch to the place Franklin knows and loves.
